L’infinito esiste. Se ascolti i Pink Floyd per un’intera notte l’infinito esiste ed esistono anche molte altre cose. Abbastanza ipotetiche.

In copertina c’è un gioco di specchi per cui la stessa immagine del gruppo viene riprodotta con i componenti che si scambiano di posizione. È Ummagumma, e si può sostanzialmente tradurre con il concetto di “su e giù” dell’Arancia Meccanica di Kubrick. È ricerca dinamica di una propria collocazione, mai statica.

Una luce che incontra un prisma produce un fascio di colori. Oltre che scienza, è la copertina di The Dark Side of the Moon. Che per la verità è, a suo modo, scienza da Nobel. Luce che produce colori dunque, in un album che porta nel titolo il lato oscuro della Luna, quello che non si vede. La realtà ultraterrena dei Pink Floyd pervade angoli sconosciuti. Il viaggio si apre.

L’uomo meteora di Wish you Were Here non si capisce se va o arriva. Di certo è però una proiezione. Di fondo, l’assenza. Syd Barrett non c’è e non ci sarà. Più. E una canzone di 26 minuti in due parti per salutare la sua brillantezza fugace. Shine on you Crazy Diamond.

Il muro, The Wall, barriera interna esterna. Cosa pensava Waters quando lo costruiva scientificamente. A non fare entrare gli altri nel blocco privato di chi ha perduto il padre in guerra, forse. Avvisando, Hey You. Oppure ai mattoni che lo compongono, l’omologazione di Another Brick in the Wall. Mattoni da buttare giù, 10 anni prima di quelli di Berlino.

La Division Bell nel parlamento inglese è una campana che segna l’inizio di una votazione. Nei Pink Floyd, invece, è il titolo di un album che tratta di incomunicabilità tra individui. Dicotomia singolare.

I loro live poi, un tripudio di giochi di luce e dirigibili gonfiabili. Simbologia continua che continua. Si potrebbe ammirare uno show dei Floyd anche tra 100 anni. Perché non sono individui, sono lo spettacolo, la musica, le luci. L’essenza.

Infinite exists. If you listen to Pink Floyd all night long infinite exists and also exist many other things. Quite hypothetical things.

In the cover we see a mirror game and because of this the same imagine is repeated many times, with all the Floyd members that exchange position. Is “Ummagumma”, and we can translate it with the concept of “up&down” of the Kubrick’s Orange Clockwork. Is a dynamic research, for a proper collocation, never static.
