Quello del Joker non è un ruolo normale. Era stato Jack Nicholson in persona a dirglielo. Joker è un ruolo da Oscar ma è qualcosa di maledetto, che ti cambia. Per sempre. Heath Ledger aveva da poco finito di girare Il Cavaliere Oscuro. È morto a 28 anni, da solo, in una stanza. Nudo. E ha vinto un Oscar. Postumo.

Vai a chiedere a qualunque giovane di Hollywood di interpretare integralmente un cowboy omosessuale. Brokeback Mountain è un capolavoro che nessuno vuole fare. Lo applaudono tutti senza ancora averlo girato. Heath Ledger insiste per quel personaggio. Se lo sente. Aveva un’innata capacità di mettersi in gioco. Non si sentiva uno di Hollywood, sarà quello.

Con l’altro protagonista e suo compagno nel film, Jake Gyllenhaal, si venne a creare un rapporto molto stretto e gelosamente duale che non finì nemmeno alla sua morte. Ovviamente venne subito etichettato. La mente maschile riesce a giustificare gang bang di ogni genere ma non due uomini che hanno una stretta condivisione di pensieri e parole. È un mondo piccolo.

Tornando a Joker, il moderno Batman di Christopher Nolan non è l’unica pellicola ad uscire dopo la morte di Heath. Nel film Parnassus la sua scomparsa provoca un gran casino. In effetti non è facile ultimare un film quando il tuo attore protagonista ad un certo punto muore. Lo sostituì, tra gli altri, Johnny Depp. Lo stesso che, in sua memoria, gli dedica la Heath’s Place, una spiaggia sulla sua isola.

Qualche lenzuolo e contenitori di pillole varie aperti, sul comodino. Difficile non parlare di suicidio. I classici farmaci regolarmente prescritti. Ask to every young Hollywood talent to play the role of a homosexual cowboy. Brokeback Mountain is the masterpiece that no one wants to do. Everyone acclaims it also before it was filmed. Obviously this relation was immediately gay-tagged. The male mind is able to justify every kind of gang bang but is not able to accept to men that have a deep thoughts and words sharing.
